Wake Up! Alarm Support
What permissions does this app require?
The app requires the ability to:
Send you Push Notifications
Access to your Location, including when the app is running in the Background.
The app will not function properly if those permissions are not granted.
It does not require Cellular Data
Under Settings > Wake Up! Alarm:
My alarm isn’t working! What could cause this?
If the above permissions are not granted, alarms may not sound
If the app has been force-killed (you swiped it up off the screen) it will not function
If the phone has been restarted, you’ll need to open the app again to get it running
The app has some safeguards to remind you that it’s been killed (e.g. numbers 2 or 3); you should receive a notification reminding you to open the app to get it running.
How do I set a custom alarm sound?
If you’ve downloaded the Pro version, you can use any audio file (provided it’s in a common format, like mp3) as your alarm. A number of tutorials are available online: https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=download+an+mp3+to+my+iphone
What the difference between Muting an alarm and turning it off?
Muting an alarm will silence the alarm the next time it’s scheduled to go off. After that, it will return to normal.
For example, if I have a Monday-Friday alarm set to 9:00am, and I Mute it at 8:00am Friday, it will not sound Friday at 9:00am as normal, but will sound again Monday and the rest of next week. If I Muted that same alarm Friday afternoon, it would let me sleep in on Monday and wake me up Tuesday as normal.
What does it mean to Confirm an alarm?
Wake Up! Alarm will prompt a user to disable an alarm when it detects motion soon before an alarm. If you want it to stop asking you, and play the alarm no matter what, even though you are very clearly awake and aware of the time, you may do that.
Confirming affects the next time an alarm will sound, and is not permanent, similar to Muting.
